A pair of Arctic terns (Sterna paradisaea) rest and feed on a tundra kettle pond above Wonder Lake in Denali National Park, Alaska. Arctic terns are famous for their Arctic to Antarctic long distance migrations, often flying well over 12,000 miles each way. Due to this migration from Arctic summer to Antarctic summer, this tern sees more daylight than possibly any other animal in the world.
