  • In the middle of the Great Dismal Swamp (actually the highest point in the swamp) is one of Virginia's only two natural lakes. Lake Drummond is only accessible by boat and beautiful bald cypress trees line the edges of the lake. This image taken during the very last light of twilight was actually taken from a perch on the roots of another bald cypress out in the lake.
