About Whimbrel Nature

I am a nature and wildlife photographer, writer, and scientist from Falls Church, Virginia. Much of my image collection focuses on images from the East Coast of the US, particularly the Mid-Atlantic region, but my images also explore nature and wildlife from other regions. As a Ph.D. trained ornithologist, behaviorist, and evolutionary biologist, I focus on producing images that capture animal behavior and biological concepts, as well as the inherent beauty of the natural world. My goal is to provide the best, most unique, and most educational nature images to various outlets in the hopes of stirring people's passion for the natural world and promoting conservation.
